Evil Genius is unlike any strategy game you have ever played. But let’s be honest, you’ve been playing it in your dreams since you first saw a James Bond film. Taking inspiration from the spytech of the past, its graphics still amaze me even to this day. I’ll be honest; world domination was a career path I was very fond of as I was growing up. Planning your volcano island base, setting traps for snooping agents, committing heists and other crimes around the world, even henchmen are covered! Gaming doesn’t get much better than this hidden gem.

Maybe horsing around as a merchant interests you? Will you pillage or save peasants from bandit neighbours? Load up the game, journey from rags to riches to empire in this action RPG, and realise a week has passed in the blink of an eye. The graphics are aging, but the combat and gameplay offer more challenge and roleplaying depth than hotshots like Skyrim. Name your horse! I call mine Whinnyfred.
