Never have I seen a
genre tag misused as much as “Action” referring to Lightfish.
Lightfish is Qix,
quite simply. Aesthetically based on marine life, Lightfish
features your standard enemies to work around while trying to take
over the entire screen, along with stationary grievances such as lava
and ice. Qix has
always been a classic, so it goes without saying that Lightfish
is fun, but the amount of practice I've had in this type of game over
the years means that there's almost no challenge in the game and it
isn't doing anything new at all to compensate.
